Rita Bernard-Shaw

Rita’s television credits include HBO series THE NEVERS, Amazon’s THE POWER and she has most recently seen in series 3 of ITV’s VAN DER VALK alongside Marc Warren.

Her latest film roles saw her feature in Lena Dunham’s much-loved, CATHERINE, CALLED BIRDY, for Amazon, and Peter Atencio’s action comedy, THE MACHINE. Rita’s other film credits include starring alongside Sally Hawkins and Billie Piper in ETERNAL BEAUTY, directed by Craig Roberts.

Her other credits include short films WATCH WHAT I DO, YOUNGER, and LONDON BOYS. Rita was also one of the stars of the viral hit YouTube series SHIRO’S STORY which gained international recognition from Jay Z’s Roc Nation.

Rita was nominated for a Stage Debut Award and for Best Professional Debut at the 2024 Whats On Stage Awards for her performance in the Donmar Warehouse production, TROUBLE IN BUTETOWN.
