Sam is known for his acclaimed performances both at the National Theatre and in the West End. His extensive theatre credits include Winston Smith in 1984, Theo in SUNSET AT THE VILLA THALIA, William Mompesson in EYAM, and Farinelli in FARINELLI AND THE KING opposite Mark Rylance, both in the UK and on Broadway. Sam has recently finished a well-received run of one man show THE RAGE OF NARCISSUS at the Pleasance Theatre.
On screen, Sam has starred as Fred Walters in BBC series DESPERATE ROMANTICS, as well as guest roles in Sky Atlantic's COBRA, CALL THE MIDWIFE, ITV's FEARLESS, THE TRIAL OF CHRISTINE KEELER on BBC ONE, ENDEAVOUR and Season 2 of Netflix's hugely successful series THE CROWN. He can next be seen in the short film THE APPOINTMENT, directed by Alexandre Singh.
