Susannah Harker

Susannah has worked extensively both on screen and on stage. She is perhaps best known for her role as Jane Bennet in the BBC’s PRIDE AND PREJUDICE and as Mattie Storin in HOUSE OF CARDS for which she was BAFTA TV Award nominated.

Other works on screen include Patrice Chéreau’s INTIMACY, James Ivory’s SURVIVING PICASSO and Euzhan Palcy’s A DRY WHITE SEASON.

Stage work includes UNCLE VANYA at The Gate and in New York, ABIGAILS PARTY at The Chocolate Factory and Wyndham’s Theatre, SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER at the Chichester Festival Theatre, as Amanda in THE GLASS MENAGERIE at the Nottingham Playhouse, THE BLINDING LIGHT at the Jermyn Street Theatre and HOGARTH’S PROGRESS at the Rose Theatre Kingston.

Susannah is currently working on a film script JANE BENNET’S SECOND SPRING a comedy drama which draws on her own experience as an actor who played Jane Bennet in the Pride and Prejudice’95 drama to tell a midlife coming of age story and to explore female visibility.
