
Steve Speirs
Steve starred as ‘Glyn Tucker’ in all series’ of the BAFTA Cymru nominated comedy THE TUCKERS, which he also created. His extensive television credits include AFTER LIFE, INSIDE NO.9, BIG SCHOOL, NO HEROICS, KROD MANDOON, EXTRAS, CUCKOO, NOT GOING OUT and STELLA, for which he also writes.
Further credits include the TV Adaptation of GANGSTA GRANNY STRIKES AGAIN and one off-drama BOY IN A DRESS, he also appeared in BBC’s DICKENSIAN, ROVERS for SKY 1, BBC’s comedy mini-series DECLINE AND FALL, UPSTART CROW and TOURIST TRAP. More recent TV credits include 4STORIES ‘WET LOOK’ for Channel 4, the Christmas Special of MRS BROWNS BOYS, DEATH VALLEY for BBC and documentaries FROM MERTHYR WITH LOVE and FROM PORTHCAWL WITH LOVE alongside Ruth Jones.
Steve’s film roles range from THE MUSKETEER to INKHEART, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN to CEMETERY JUNCTION, Jack Whitehall’s feature film BAD EDUCATION, STAR WARS:THE PHANTOM MENACE and GO AWAY!
Extensive theatre credits range from GUYS & DOLLS at the National Theatre to the Olivier-nominated comedy UPSTART CROW at the Gielgud Theatre, London. More recently he starred as Jailer Frosch in the Welsh National Opera’s DIE FLEDERMAUS.
Steve has just finished working on the film A VISIT TO GRANDPA’S with Sir Anthony Hopkins and will next be seen in MADFABULOUS. He is soon to begin filming on BETTER LATER to star opposite Ruth Jones.
