
Kathy Kiera Clarke
Kathy’s television work includes the Agatha Christie adaptation THE PALE HORSE, OMAGH, TAKE A GIRL LIKE YOU, and BLOODLANDS, but she is probably best known for playing the iconic Aunt Sarah in Channel 4’s award-winning series DERRY GIRLS.
Her film credits include THE MOST FERTILE MAN IN IRELAND and BLOODY SUNDAY, for which she was nominated for an IFTA. Kathy was also IFTA nominated for her role in A BEND IN THE RIVER, directed by Colin Broderick. Most recently, Kathy starred in DEAD MAN’S MONEY.
Kathy’s extensive theatre credits include TARTUFFE (Royal National Theatre), MEDEA (Citizens Theatre Glasgow), SCENES FROM THE BIG PICTURE (Royal National Theatre), FAITH HEALER (Bristol Old Vic), DON CARLOS (Rough Magic, Dublin), WOMAN AND SCARECROW (Prime Cut Productions), HEARTBREAK HOUSE (Abbey Theatre) and Eugene O’Hare’s THE DRY HOUSE (Marylebone Theatre). Kathy most recently played Maggie May in PORTIA COUGHLAN at the Almeida Theatre.
The third and final series of DERRY GIRLS aired on Channel 4 in 2022, earning widespread acclaim for both the series and Kathy.
