Boyd is best known as the creator and writer of long running BBC Wales comedies HIGH HOPES, SATELLITE CITY (won BAFTA CYMRU for Best Entertainment Series) and THE CELLULOID WORLD OF DEZMOND REZEILLO (won RTS Award).
His acting credits include Gwynfor in the BBC series FABULOUS BAKER BOYS, Bazzer in BEING HUMAN Series 3, Sgt Arthur Ball in HIGH HOPES, DEZMOND Rezeillo in THE CELLULOID WORLD OF DEZMOND REZEILLO, Ken in A SMALL SUMMER PARTY (Marion & Geoff) and Colin Tripp in DIRTY WORK.
He is also the voice of Owen the Owl in the animation HANA’S HELPLINE and has voiced and presented many documentary’s and trailers and promos.
His film credits include RISEN, FLICK, THE TESTIMONY OF TALIESIN JONES, THE NINE LIVES OF THOMAS KATZ and TWIN TOWN.
Boyd’s many theatre credits include the first National Theatre Wales production A GOOD NIGHT OUT IN THE VALLEYS, CORIOLANUS (West Yorkshire Playhouse), HAMLET (Young Vic), BUCHANAN and NO FURTHER CAUSE FOR CONCERN (Traverse), FALLEN ANGEL (Bush), TECHTONIC PLATES (Royal National Theatre) and EAST FROM THE GANTRY (Y Cwmni).
